The proposed Uinta Basin Railway continues to move forward. On Friday, the Surface Transportation Board issued the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed railway for the public’s review and comment. The public’s window for commenting is 45 days. During that time period there will be six public meetings. “Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure the safety of all participants, all public meetings for the Draft EIS are online.The Surface Transportation Board’s Office of Environmental Analysis will begin each online meeting with an overview of the proposed project and environmental review process, followed by a facilitated session for individuals requesting to make oral comments.” To register for one of the public meetings, click on the link at uintabasinrailwayeis.com.
