The Utah Department of Transportation has a plethora of projects that are planned for the 2020 construction season. There are eleven projects throughout Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett Counties. Several of the projects include chip sealing and resurfacing Highway 40. On S.R. 87 near Lake Fork Creek bridge and on S.R. 44, UDOT will be installing guardrails, upgrading the parapet, concrete barrier, and installing no passing markers.  There will be two overhead message signs on Highway 40 installed eastbound near Daniels Canyon and westbound in the area of the Duchesne City offices. In Gusher on eastbound Highway 40 there will be a passing lane added, a center turn lane, and a ten-foot-wide shoulder between 7500 East and Brown Ranch Road. One project that will affect the Vernal area is the Main Street drainage improvements underway. There will also be a new traffic light and turning lanes at the intersection of Highway 40 and 1500 South.  For a complete list of all UDOT projects, visit the Uintah County Facebook page.
