State Parks are becoming more dog friendly and to prove it, Steinaker State Park is hosting a ‘Dog Days of Summer’ adoption event tomorrow and all are invited. Steinaker State Park Manager Amanda White is a self professed dog person and hopes lots of people turn out to see all the dogs looking for their forever homes. The Uintah Animal Shelter will have around 20 dogs there that are fixed, chipped, vaccinated, and ready to go and there will be NO adoption fee. CAWS rescue will also have some dogs there for adoption for their regular fees. Regardless, anyone wanting to come see the dogs can get into Steinaker State Park for free by mentioning the adoption event at the entrance. Dino Suds N Scissors are joining the party and will have fun prizes and giveaways on hand. Even if you just want to take a dog for a walk, plan to attend tomorrow’s adoption event taking place in the Steinaker Day Use parking lot from 10am to 3pm. Leash laws do still apply.
