Mountain biking has a big following in the Uintah Basin. As a sport and hobby it is only gaining in popularity. The Uintah County Library is hosting a documentary film night this week all about mountain bikes and their history. ‘Klunkerz: A Film About Mountain Bikes’ uses archival footage, photographs and interviews to tell the story of the early days. It started with kids in the 1960’s and 70’s from California scavenging bikes from junkyards and then adapting motorcycle parts. It has grown to the billion-dollar industry it is today. The documentary will be shown Wednesday, July 19th at 7pm at the library. Come learn about the history of mountain biking!
