A disposal plant near 12 Mile Wash Road in Uintah County caught fire around noon on Tuesday. The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office reported some details on what happened. “A tanker was offloading condensate into a tank at a disposal location when the tank overflowed and hit an ignition source,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “A flash fire occurred and then continued burning until crews got it out. One person was treated and released on scene for burns. There was damage to the tank and some outbuildings, and the truck as a result of the fire.” Vernal City and Naples Fire Departments responded and were able to put the fire out.
