The Youth Ice Fishing Derby hosted by Disabled Outdoorsmen Utah and the DWR has been rescheduled due to ice conditions. The date has been changed to February 8th and it will be held on Steinaker Reservoir. “Join Disabled Outdoorsmen Utah, Steinaker State Park, and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources for the 2025 Youth Ice Fishing Derby,” shares the event announcement. “This free family friendly event is open to everyone, even if your kids have never ice fished before. Prize categories will include: Heaviest Fish Overall, Heaviest Fish For Each Age Bracket, Smallest Fish In Each Age Bracket, and First Fish Turned In.” There will be helpers there to drill the ice fishing holes for those needing assistance.
