The Dinosaurland Cruisin’ During COVID event was a huge success last Friday and tonight all are encouraged to join in to make round 2 an even bigger event. Uintah County, the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce, and other local partners are hosting Cruisin’ During COVID on Friday nights from 7 to 8pm on Highway 40 through Naples and Vernal. Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp says the idea was inspired by similar events taking place around the country as a way people can get out during quarantine and enjoy some social time from a distance. Last week there were colorful cars and big signs that read ‘Vernal Strong’! A big part of the fun is the fabulous specials going on at Main Street businesses and you can tune into 98.5 The FOX while you cruise to hear all about the fun to be had. While you’re out keep your eyes open for donation buckets that say Freedom Fest and throw in a few dollars or whatever you can to help launch the Freedom Festival planned for Vernal on the 4th of July.
