Dinosaur National Monument is open as usual and will only be closed on January 1st next week. Even then, the outdoor areas of the monument will remain open. Weather could cause a hiccup in plans as the snow closed at least one area on December 26th. Harpers Corner Road is closed in Colorado past the Echo Park Road turnoff, 25 miles from Highway 40. This closure does not affect access to the Quarry Exhibit Hall. The gates are temporarily closed just past park headquarters, one half mile from Highway 40, as well as north and south of where the Moffat County Road 16 crosses. Echo Park Road was temporarily inaccessible and the Yampa Bench Road may be impassable due to winter conditions.
