Dinosaur National Monument was represented at DinoFest over the weekend in California hosted by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Amazing local Monument officials made the trip and set up a fun booth featuring fabulous late Jurassic fossils. They had plenty of Junior Ranger books and badges on hand and recruited more youth to be Junior Rangers. The Monument paleontologist was able to make a presentation titled, “Jurassic Giants: The Largest Organisms on the Morrison Formation Floodplain and the Sauropods That Ate Them.” Several visitors to the booth knew first hand the awe of Dinosaur National Monument, having been visitors before. Monument officials are already looking forward to DinoFest 2025!
