Further details have been shared about the temporary closure coming up for the Duchesne Branch Library that is housed in a county building scheduled for a major remodel project in 2024. The latest Duchesne Branch newsletter shares that the closure will last for nearly 7 months beginning on April 1st and running through mid-November. Library services and programs will still be available offsite, mostly at the Centennial Events Center in Duchesne. A few changes will happen leading up to the Duchesne Branch closure. Interlibrary loan ends January 30th. Purchase requests end on February 6th but patrons can still make them at the Roosevelt Branch. Circulation of the collections ends March 2nd. The building closes for remodel on March 31st and on April 1st the Duchesne Branch drop box will be moved to the Centennial Event Center for return items. Offsite circulation will be at the Events Center every Thursday from 10am to 5pm starting April 4th. Events will be held on those Thursdays, including Homeschool Hour, Story Time, Teen/Tween Events, and Lego Club. A few things will be unaffected by the construction, including Libby and Hoopla digital circulation, Outreach to Tabiona and Fruitland, the Facebook pages, newsletter, website, and reading challenges.
