Delays can be expected as work continues on the Myton Bench construction project. UDOT reports that crews are scheduled to begin microsurfacing the road starting as early as
Tuesday, October 10th.
One lane will be open in each direction between
6250 South and Pole Line Road
and drivers are asked to use caution while driving through the work zone. Delays are also expected as crews continue installing signs, guardrail, and street lamps along the length of the construction. The project is part of UDOT’s plan to widen Highway 40 to five lanes which includes two travel lanes and a center turn lane. The addition of 10-foot shoulder lanes in both directions is aimed at improving safety. The Myton Bench project is expected to be complete next month.
