Dead puppies found in Moffat County are being investigated as a case of animal cruelty and tips from the public are invited. Moffat County Sheriff’s Office shared that a deputy discovered a dead puppy near the intersection of Moffat County Road 22 and 24 and upon further inspection, additional puppies were found, three having been shot and killed. Three more puppies were discovered and safely rescued and are currently being cared for at the Humane Society of Moffat County. The 6 puppies were all male and about 4 months old. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office at 970-824-4495.
