Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office wants the public’s help to stop livestock theft. “Calving season is upon us, and unfortunately, it also means an increase in cattle theft,” shares the announcement. “The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) is offering a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in crimes against livestock. We’re asking the public to be vigilant and keep your eyes open for any suspicious activity in rural areas and report anything unusual. Cattle theft is a serious crime that directly impacts our local farmers and ranchers. Your help could make all the difference in bringing those responsible to justice.” If you have any information on cattle theft, please call the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 435-738-2015 or contact Central Dispatch.
