The board for the Daggett School District approved a Child Care program at their last board meeting to be implemented for the 2023-2024 school year. The program is to serve the district teachers and staff and aims to help retain and recruit teachers and staff to the District. The May board highlight states that the district’s goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children and that licensed childcare providers and interested students will staff the program. The program will be housed in the District house just west of the new gyms. If openings occur, then it could be offered to the public if there is not a need for District teachers and staff. The Daggett School District meets for their regularly scheduled board meeting tomorrow at 6pm.
