The Daggett County Commissioners report that this week in their Commission meeting, they passed a new ordinance realigning the elected officials roster. As a result, the following offices will be on the upcoming election cycle in Daggett County: Recorder/Treasurer, Assessor, Clerk, Commissioner A (two year term), and Commissioner C (four year term). “Anyone interested in running for any of these positions must formally ‘declare’ between March 13th and the 19th,” shares the Commissioners. “Forms are in the Clerk’s office. If you are desirous to run, you can go through the Petition Signing process or the Caucus System. The Utah Presidential Primary is March 3rd. State and local elections will be held June 30th, 2020.” The Commissioners also expressed their appreciation for all who participated in the Burbot Bash and reminded Daggett County residents that there are Coupon Books for those who wish to pay their property taxes monthly rather than all at once at the end of the year.
