The jail was listed for sale last year, gathering attention in media throughout the country. “The jail is still For Sale and we are aggressively working with a realtor to find a buyer,” shares the Daggett County Commission. “We’ve had it covered in many publications including the LA Times and we have fielded several good inquiries.” Other options are also being explored. “While we are in the process of selling the jail,” explains the Commission, “we are also exploring avenues to reopen the jail.” The Commission says they are committed to a resolution for the benefit of the county.
