The Daggett County Commission has worked recently on applying for grant funding. In their Fence Post monthly update they shared about the following projects: If successful, the funds from the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant Program will be used for redeveloping the shooting range to encompass pistol, rifle, archery, ax throwing, and skeet. The second is funding for a walking and biking path. UDOT has awarded half the funds needed and they have applied for appropriation funds through Representative Curtis’ office. The final application is for a Kubota grant to help build a community garden with a greenhouse. This would provide planter boxes to the community with some of the crop being given to the food pantry to supply fresh produce.
