The Daggett County Commission announced this month the launch of a community garden project in Daggett County. The Uintah Basin Association of Governments helped provide the means to build the garden boxes for the community to be located at the Daggett County Courthouse. “Understanding this is a late start, there are still many vegetables that can be grown and harvested this season,” shares the Commission’s announcement. “A couple of the boxes will be used to help support our local Food Pantry with fresh produce. As we all know, fresh produce and herbs are difficult to obtain in our County.” Volunteers willing to help build the boxes are asked to email pwhite@daggettcounty.org.
