Emergency crews conducted a search this weekend after an aircraft distress call was received in Uintah County. Utah Highway Patrol confirmed that the Department of Public Safety helicopter was assisting in the search for a possible crash but search crews had little to go off of. On Saturday evening, no sign of an aircraft crash had been found and the search was called off for the night with plans for Civil Air Patrol to resume the search on Sunday. KSL shared that the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office was involved in the search but that it was not clear who the request had come from or what type of aircraft may have been involved. Evans Family Media will provide an update when more information is made available.
