The City of Craig has sworn in their new interim police chief. Michael Cochran was sworn in by the city judge during the Craig City council meeting on Tuesday evening. Following the swearing in, Interim Chief Cochran shared some of his philosophy as police chief. “I am absolutely honored to be standing here today,” shared Cochran. “I can tell you that I am a ‘let’s get back to the basics’ kind of guy.” By his definition, Cochran says this means engaging with the public, keeping a positive attitude, and following through with the community by really listening to their comments and suggestions. The City of Craig announced in February that Cocharn would be taking over as interim police chief due to the resignation of Chief Jerry DeLong.
