Craig Chief of Police Transition Update

by | Feb 22, 2021 | News | 0 comments

There’s been an update since the recent announcement that the Craig Police Department Chief of Police Jerry DeLong had resigned. Craig Daily Press reports that the Craig City Manager rescinded the separation agreement with DeLong that included two months salary and continued health insurance after “disparaging remarks” were made by DeLong about the agreement. While no further information was provided, Craig Press also reported that DeLong’s resignation came at the same time that Captain Bill Leonard of Craig Police was placed on administrative leave. The city of Craig announced last week that Michael Cochran has been named as the City’s interim police chief.
