A case of a workplace assault that took place in May has resulted in a charge filed this week in court. 43-year-old Debra-Ann Thames has been charged with one count of 3rd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault for events that allegedly took place on May 8th. According to the Probable Cause Statement, Thames became angry with a co-worker and showed up at the place of their employment when she was not on the schedule. She yelled and cursed at the co-worker and then slammed the co-worker’s head into a table. She also punched the co-worker in the back of the head and had to be pulled away. The victim went to the hospital and was treated for a concussion. Thames later apologized and quit her employment. The charge was filed on August 14th and Thames is scheduled in court on September 23rd.
