Unemployment rates in the Uintah Basin have continued their downward trend and are nearing the national average. According to the newest data from the Department of Workforce Services, Uintah County unemployment registered at 3.7 percent, down from 4.7 percent one year ago. Duchesne County unemployment dropped to 3.5 percent, down from 4.7 percent one year prior. Daggett County held at 3.8 percent, down from 4.4 percent one year ago. Utah’s unemployment rate dropped slightly to 2.7 percent along with national unemployment which fell from 3.7 percent in August to 3.5 percent in September.
