Congressman Blake Moore has been appointed as a new ranking member within the House Committee on Natural Resources. “I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations,” said Congressman Blake Moore. “Under Ranking Member Bruce Westerman’s leadership, Republicans on the House Natural Resources Committee have worked hard this past year to conduct rigorous, thoughtful oversight over the Biden Administration’s harmful policies that are driving up energy prices, mismanaging our lands, and making America dependent on foreign countries for energy products and critical minerals. As we enter this new year, it is becoming increasingly clear to all Americans that this Administration is on the wrong track, and I look forward to serving in this leadership role to hold it accountable and get us on the right track,” shared Moore. While redistricting has changed the boundaries of Utah House representation, Congressman Moore is still the representative for much of the Uintah Basin until December 31st of this year. If current Congressman John Curtis wins the November election, he will become the representative of northeastern Utah on January 1st, 2023, otherwise it will be whoever wins the 3rd District seat. Representative Curtis and Moore have already been working together on issues important to citizens in northeastern Utah.
