Congressman Blake Moore has been selected to serve on the House Armed Services Committee in the 117th Congress. “Representative Blake Moore’s experience in the Indo-Pacific will make him a critical asset to the House Armed Services Committee,” said Ranking Member Mike Rogers. “I’m pleased he will continue Utah’s First Congressional District’s representation on the committee, and I’m confident he will be committed to achieving valuable reforms in the armed services community.” Utah’s First District includes Hill Air Force Base, the service’s second largest base and home to all depot work for the F-35 fighter jets and Intercontinental Ballistic Missile programs. The House Armed Services Committee has jurisdiction over the funding and oversight of the United States’ defense policy, military operations, Department of Defense, and portions of the Department of Energy.
