The 2022 – 2023 Sterling Scholars have been announced. For Uintah High School they are EmmaLyn Day in Trade and Technical Education, Alec Rimmasch in Mathematics, Adam Semadeni in General Scholarship, Olivia Hawkes in Dance, Gentry Yeaman in Visual Arts, Briel Pettit in Instrumental Music, Victoria Barrus in Social Science, Shelby Accuttoroop in Science, Nataly Rosas Franco in Computer Science, and Anya Brown in English. For Union High School the Sterling Scholars are Whitney Whiting in English, Ian Wilson in Mathematics, Jaxon Thomas in Social Science, Belen Embleton in Science, Macy Winterton in World Languages, Abel Rios in Computer Technology, Traven Miller in Skilled and Technical Sciences Education, Grant Rasmussen in Agricultural Science, Kaytlin Baird in Family and Consumer Sciences, Kaleb Petersen in Business and Marketing, Brenon Mathews in Speech/Theater/Forensics, Kenia Christensen in Vocal Performance, Eva Spunaugle in Visual Arts, Jillian Griffiths in Instrumental Music, Amelia Anderton in Dance, and Naomi Wells in General Scholarship. These outstanding students will be among the Uintah Basin representatives at the Northeast Region Sterling Scholar Competition in the spring.
