Duchesne County Sheriff Travis Tucker is requesting the public’s help in a case of a human skull found in Duchesne County. The announcement shares that “on March 13th, 2001, deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office were executing a search warrant on a property in northwest Duchesne County. During the search warrant execution deputies located [a human skull] on top of a fence post that surrounded the property. The remains were being held on by wire. At the time, the remains were suspected to possibly be of Native American origin due to a Native American burial ground being located near the property. An anthropological analysis was done on the remains, and it was determined that the remains belonged to a modern Hispanic female between the ages of 17 to 25. The female would have went missing sometime between 1981 and 2001.” The public is asked to take a look at the composite sketch recreation and if this female looks familiar or you have any information regarding this individual, please call the Tip Line at 435-738-0196 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678. All information shared is strictly confidential. The image is shared on the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page and with this news story on www.BasinNow.com
