A night out at the movies represents so much more than it used to. Next weekend it represents moving forward together as a community following a difficult and unsure time. The Community Night at the Echo Drive-In is a free family event that will show Disney’s ‘Onward’ on Friday, May 15th, sponsored by Duchesne County, Roosevelt City, V-6 Media and 98.5 THE FOX. Duchesne County Commissioner Irene Hansen explains that this event is all about being united as a community. “Duchesne County is no stranger to ups and downs,” shares Commissioner Hansen. “The one consistent factor is always our determination to look for the positive and move forward in spite of difficulties. Helping neighbors and putting others first is second nature to Basin residents. While none of us ever expected the double whammy of coronavirus and the downturn in our energy market, we WILL rise and meet the challenge.” Free tickets to the May 15th showing are available at L&L Motor, Marions Variety, Vengeance Power Sports, Robinson Dental, and Stewarts Marketplace. Families are encouraged to decorate their car, grab take out dinner, and come enjoy some family time at the movies! The movie is free but guests are invited to make a donation to health care workers through the ‘Uintah Basin Healthcare’ campaign at gofundme.com. .
