Community involvement is invited as Duchesne County considers amendments to its general plan. The amendments being considered are needed in order to comply with the County Resource Management Planning requirements under Utah Code. House Bill 323 was passed by the 2015 Utah Legislature initiating the requirements and followed up with House Bill 219 passed by the 2016 Utah Legislature. Other updates to the General Plan are also being considered as the original General Plan was prepared 20 years ago in 1997. The County Resource Management Plan sets forth county policies for the use of public lands. Printed copies of the draft plan can be requested by call the the Duchesne County Planning Department at
