Uintah Middle School is hosting a free Family Wellness Summit this week. This Summit will have a keynote speaker and breakout sessions. The keynote speaker will be ‘Stand 4 Kind’, an organization that believes every student deserves to feel like they belong and have connections. They achieve this through teaching empathy, self-esteem, emotional wellness, and kindness, providing a way for schools to reduce suicide and bullying among students.
The goal is to change the culture and climate in schools nationwide and break the stigma of mental health. The breakout sessions will be ‘Social Media and Mental Health’, ‘Technology Safety’ with the Vernal Police Department, and ‘Coping Tools for Anxiety’.
It will be a fun night of learning, light refreshments and a chance to win a big screen T.V. The Summit takes place Thursday, November 10th from 6pm to 8pm at Uintah Middle School. All are encouraged to attend.
