The Uintah School District active shooter training included some special speakers who know first hand how devastating a real active shooter situation is. “Those who participated in the training had the privilege of hearing from four survivors of the 1999 shooting at Columbine High School,” shares the school district. “Kari Bryan, Sarah Bush, Laura Hall and Tami Diaz shared their experiences as students at Columbine and talked about the work they now do as members of Rebels for Change, a group for Columbine alumni that advocates increased awareness about the effects of trauma, promotes violence prevention, and encourages support for those who are impacted by traumatic events.” To learn more about their cause, visit
