Colorado State Patrol Requests Public Tips In Fatal Hit And Run

Colorado State Patrol is requesting the help of the public from throughout the region as
they seek tips in a fatal hit and run that took place on January 7th. State Patrol was
notified of a body found down an embankment on the side of the road of Highway 6 near
milepost 165. The investigation revealed that on January 7th, between the hours of
12:30am to 2:00am, a cyclist was traveling on Highway 6 where it was struck. The
vehicle then left the scene. The driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified. The
bicycle was not recovered from the scene and is believed to have been taken from the
area. Investigators need help identifying the vehicle and driver of this hit and run. The

vehicle is believed to be a white 2010-2012 Subaru Legacy or Outback which should
have damage to the front passenger side. If you witnessed the crash, or have any
