A new batch of wolves are being prepped for delivery to Colorado locations in 2025. According to a press release from Colorado Parks & Wildlife, operational planning is underway for the second capture and release season in support of the Colorado Gray Wolf Restoration and Management Plan. The operation is focused on translocating up to 15 gray wolves from British Columbia to Colorado between January and March, 2025. The plans offer Colorado livestock producers a program that includes more resources to minimize wolf-livestock conflict. Livestock producers can request a site assessment to identify non-lethal tools and techniques for each individual property. They’ve also hired specialists to run a Non-lethal Conflict Reduction Program. To read the entire announcement, visit cpw.state.co.us.
