Due to public interest, Colorado Parks and Wildlife have shared that they will be updating information about reintroduced wolves on a monthly basis. An updated map was shared on Wednesday showing the most recent gray wolf activity using collar data from at least 2 of the wolves. The map shows that the wolves have traveled from Routt County deep into Moffat County and into some areas of Rio Blanco County. The collars are programmed to record a position every 4 hours and once 4 locations have been recorded, the data is transmitted to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife biologists. The GPS data does not provide the biologists with a live location and it does not predict where the wolves may go next.
