A new map has been issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife that shows where collared wolf activity has taken place in Colorado over the last 4 weeks. “The February 2025 map is the first that includes a full month’s of data for wolves translocated from during the 2024-2025 capture season,” shares the CPW Office. “Individual or groups of wolves can travel widely and have not necessarily settled in any particular area. In addition, there are uncollared wolves in Colorado whose movements cannot be captured in this map.” The map shows wolf activity in watersheds in Moffat, Garfield, Mesa, Routt, Jackson, Summit, Eagle, Grand, Pitkin, and Rio Blanco Counties. Colorado’s wolf population nearly doubled between January and February with the 15 wolves delivered from Canada.
