It might feel a little early but it’s time to get out the warm coats and for those still hanging on, put away the shorts and sandals. National Weather Service reports that a cold front will sweep through the area starting Wednesday evening, bringing the coldest air of the season and a major drop from previous temperatures. While highs early in the week will hit nearly 80 degrees in some parts of the region, it’s expected the high will take a plunge of 30 degrees within 24 hours. “It might be a shock to the system,” shares National Weather Service. “Low temperatures by Friday will be below freezing and some places near zero.” Temperatures will run 20 or more degrees below average from Thursday through Friday with single-digit lows most likely for eastern Utah.
