Years of planning and hard work have produced an exciting result for Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely as the groundbreaking of a new state-of-the-art soccer field is happening this month. CNCC Athletic Director Zach Stevenson is excited for the groundbreaking. “This development marks a pivotal moment for CNCC athletics, as we invest in college-level facilities to support the growth and success of our student-athletes,” shares Stevenson. “The construction of the soccer field signifies our dedication to providing an exceptional experience for our athletes and fostering a culture of excellence within our athletics program. I am confident that this new facility will serve as a hub for competition, camaraderie, and achievement for years to come, and I look forward to witnessing the positive impact it will have on our community.” The new soccer field at Colorado Northwestern Community College will be completed in a phased approach. Phase I will include irrigation, a NJCAA regulation-size playing field, and fencing. Phase II depends on funding but is anticipated to include a playground with picnic area, restrooms, and grandstands. The Bud Striegel Family Soccer Field Dedication Ceremony will take place on Friday, April 26th, at 11:30am on the CNCC Rangely Campus.
