The Christmas season is here once again and there’s still time to head to the mountain to cut your very own Christmas tree and for those with a fourth grader in the family, that permit is free! Fourth graders can pick up their permits from any of the Forest Service Offices, including Ashley National Forest in Vernal, Duchesne-Roosevelt District Office in Duchesne, and Flaming Gorge District Office in Manila. For the rest of the community, Christmas Tree permits are $15 and can be picked up at one of this year’s vendors, including Davis Food and Drug in Vernal and Roosevelt, Liberty Corner in Lapoint, Hanna Country Store in Hanna, Stewarts in Roosevelt, Flaming Gorge Market in Manila or any of the forest service offices.
