. It’s very likely this will be a record year for Trees For Charity once the money is added from the silent auction and tree toppers. Last year, the grand total reached $260,000 dollars and this year’s event is on pace to beat that. Votes from the tree view were added up and the People’s Choice award was given to Tree #4 ‘The Sweetest Gift’ to benefit Kathy Reynolds in memory of Cal Dee Reynolds. The Kid’s Choice award was given to Tree #5, the Superman tree. There were 46 trees auctioned with Tree #15 to benefit Corbin Dansie securing 6 bidders for a combined total donation of over $24,000 dollars. “I want to thank our community for coming together to raise so much for so many great causes,” shares 2018 Trees For Charity Chairman Jessie Barton. “Without you this wouldn’t happen. We live in a great community.” The grand total for the 2018 Trees For Charity will be announced in the coming days.
