A community Christmas Sing-A-Long in Vernal could become your family’s new favorite tradition to ring in the holiday season. The multi-church event is inviting the entire community to the free event that will include a hot chocolate buffet, refreshments, live entertainment and the chance to sing-a-long to holiday favorites! The event also pairs nicely with Trees For Charity as it is being held in the ballroom of the Uintah Conference Center with the trees
on Saturday
night. “In a year of political divisiveness in our country and while we have had so many difficulties within our own community, we feel it is so important to rally together and there is nothing better than the spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas to come together as a community,” shares event coordinator from the Vernal Stake T.J. Batty. “We are hoping this is a good kickoff for the season to feel good and say we are still here and we still have the spirit of Christ with us.” There will be special musical numbers from the Catholic Church choir, school choirs and a children’s choir from the Vernal Stake, among others. Local church leaders including Dave Everett, Reverend Connie Gordon from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Father Ty from the Catholic Church will participate in the program and Uintah High’s retired choir teacher Reed Hansen will be leading the music. It will be a special event for the entire community, this
