Crossroads Accounting began working with Trees for Charity for the 2017 Gala event.
Brandi Staker is the lead accountant with a big assist from Jason Winterton (a staff accountant).
Crossroads Accounting donates about 100 hours per year on behalf of Trees for Charity.
Brandi serves on the Trees for Charity board to advise on any issues that relate to maintaining the entity’s 501(c)(3) status. She maintains the financial data and records as well as prepares the annual tax return and prepares the required tax donation acknowledgment letters. She also spearheads the accounting team on auction night to track the auction as it is happening to quickly and accurately allow bidders to pay for their purchases before leaving the event. They reconcile the auction records with the funds collected before issuing checks to the various recipients.
Crossroads has been able to reduce the time it takes on auction night to have the winning bidders make their payments. They have reduced the time that it takes to track and account for the funds from auction night allowing them to get the money quickly and accurately to the bank and recipients. They have also improved Trees ability to compare the financial impacts from one year to the next.
The Public Relations Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce would like to present a Certificate of Appreciation to Crossroads Accounting for their many hours of support and commitment to the very successful Trees for Charity.
