Along with their Book Fair, they celebrate their annual Literacy Night on November 10th, in which they invite parents and students to come in to the school and spend an evening learning about the importance of literacy. Another great opportunity that has come up for their students and school has been through the partnership one of our teachers has created with the Dinosaur National Monument.

Mayor’s Walk

Mayor’s Walk

26 years ago this Halloween, Uintah Recreation District, Davis Food and Drug, Vernal City and Eagle Country KLCY kicked off the first annual Mayor’s walk with a parade of 50 little ghost and goblins marching with Vernal City Mayor William Kremin from Independence Park to the parking lot of Davis Food and Drug. This year the event has grown to over 3,500! The Annual Mayor’s Walk just one more reason the Uintah Basin is a great place to live, work and play!
