Uintah Basin Healthcare has sponsored the support group known as “Caring For Coy” for many years now. The “Caring for Coy” program was started when two community members, Jeremy & Nicole Maycock lost their newborn son, Coy. Through Nicole’s experience, she saw a need for care kits and burial kits to provide much-needed items during a heartbreaking experience. Nicole’s vision has grown into community-wide service with items being made and donated to support the cause. In addition to those services, a new Facebook group has been started. This group is for any of those in the Basin who has been affected by infant loss. This online group will provide weekly posts and allow individuals to connect with others that have had similar experiences. Those in the community interested are invited to share a photo or anything that represents their child, as well as their story. To learn more, visit the Uintah Basin Healthcare Facebook page. Remember there is no footprint too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.
