Monday was the final day to file for public office in Utah and the list for those running
for Commissioner locally has grown. The Duchesne County 2024 Candidate list now
shows the following have filed to run in the Commission Seat C race: Vaughan Lichfield,
Clel Robinson, Dee Olson, Tracy W. Ross, Bryan Winterton, Jeffrey Brent Chugg, and
Shelby John Thayne. Unchallenged candidates in Duchesne County are D. Ryan Allred
for Surveyor, incumbent Traci K. Herrera for Assessor, incumbent Shelley Brennan for
Recorder, and incumbent Stephen Potter for Treasurer. For Duchesne County School
District #4, the only candidate listed is Brandon Edmund Bench. Mark E. Thacker was
added to the candidate list for Duchesne County School District #5 which previously had
no candidate. The Uintah County 2024 Candidate list has a few new names as well.
Candidates now filed to run for the Uintah County Commission seat include Willis
LeFevre, Guy Gustaveson, and Danny B. Mortensen. Unchallenged candidates in Uintah
County are Danette Brooks for Assessor, incumbent Brenda McDonald for Recorder,
incumbent Brock J. Slaugh for Surveyor, and incumbent Wendi Long for Treasurer. For
Uintah School District #4, candidates listed are Ronee K. Wopsock Pawwinnee and
incumbent board member Tawnya McKee and in District #5 candidates listed are
incumbent board member Todd K. Massey and Lance W. Taylor. Election information is
