Smoke billowed high in the sky above Roosevelt Monday morning leaving residents hoping the fire attached wasn’t as bad as it looked. Roosevelt City Fire Chief Lee Rockwood shared what details he could of the June 12th camp trailer fire that was called in about 5:30am in the north Roosevelt area. “It was called in by neighbors,” explains Rockwood. “They could see smoke and thought it was on fire and by the time we got there the camper was fully involved.” The camper was used as a residence for at least 1 individual and thankfully no one was injured from the fire though it was a complete loss. Five vehicles that were around the camp trailer were also caught in the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
