Camp Closures and New Fall/Winter Hours at Dinosaur National Monument

by | Oct 9, 2019 | News | 0 comments

It is predicted that temperatures will be dropping into freezing conditions later in the week so Dinosaur National Monument has taken this oncoming sign of winter to heart. The Green River Campground will close at noon on Wednesday, October 9th. Also, water services will be shut off for winter at the Split Mountain and Echo Park Campgrounds. That being said Split Mountain Campground will open as a primitive campground with vault toilets still available. Starting Wednesday, camping fees will be $6 per night at Split Mountain. There have also been changes to the visitor center hours and services. The Quarry Visitor Center and Exhibit Hall will now be open 9am to 5pm daily. Both remain open year round except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
