By now everyone knows that the Utah Symphony is coming to town but what some may not understand is that everyone can take part whether or not you have tickets to Saturday’s concert.
On Friday night
, September 1st, the symphony’s string quartet will be performing at the Vernal Brewing Company
at 7:30pm
. It is a ticketed, seated event but there will be limited standing room for non-ticket holders or reservations can be made for dinner during the performance.
At 8:30pm Friday night
, a star party is being held at Steinaker State Park. No tickets are needed but the $8 park entrance fee does apply. Come enjoy an evening learning about dark skies and view celestial objects through powerful telescopes. The main event will be the Utah Symphony concert taking place within Dinosaur National Monument
on Saturday night at 8:00pm
. For ticket holders there will be no parking onsite. Instead there will be a shuttle system for the concert entry. Shuttles
start at 5:00pm
at the Chew Ranch and Snyder property both on Highway 149. Standby parking for non-ticket holders will be at the Utah Welcome Center in Jensen. Bring a chair or blanket as seating will be limited and your own food, drink, and a jacket in case it’s chilly after dark. For more information, visit
