The Cowboy’s Benefit year end Bull Riding event is happening tomorrow at the
Duchesne Indoor Arena and this family event will include an emphasis on safety. Utah
bull rider Dax Preston suffered serious injuries and was even in a coma after a bull riding
incident in the fall during which he hit the bull’s head with his own head. Thankfully, he
was wearing his helmet and it saved his life. Not only will tomorrow’s event donate
proceeds towards Dax’s recovery but a family with a special message about safety will be
in attendance. The ‘Wear It For Berrett’ cause spreads awareness of helmet safety and
they will be handing out helmets. Berrett is a young man who lost his life in an accident
at a skate park during which he was not wearing a helmet and his family now does all
they can to promote helmet safety for all generations. Saturday’s bull riding event will
include PRCA bull riders. There will be entertainment and other activities for the whole
family. Tickets can be purchased at the door of the Duchesne Indoor Arena. $10 for
adults and $5 for 13 and under or for those with a student ID.
