The Bureau of Land Management announced on Tuesday their approval of construction on the TransWest Express Transmission project. The 732 mile line will carry renewable energy across the West through the high-voltage transmission line that will run from south-central Wyoming through northwestern Colorado and central Utah, ending in southern Nevada. “Over 1,000 jobs will be created during construction and once complete, the line will provide 3,000 megawatts of new transmission capacity,” shares the BLM announcement. “The TransWest Express Project will carry electricity generated by the largest onshore wind generation project in North America.” The map titled ‘final route’ attached to the BLM National NEPA Register shows the project running through Uintah County and Duchesne County on its journey from Wyoming to Nevada.
