A strong winter storm will continue to impact eastern Utah and western Colorado today. According to National Weather Service, in addition to the snow, widespread gusty winds are expected with gusts in excess of 45 mph for the valleys and close to 70 mph in the mountains. “The combination of gusty winds and snow will result in blizzard-like conditions at times. Travel, especially over mountain passes, will be extremely difficult to impossible at times in whiteout conditions.” Numerous winter and wind warnings are in effect for the region.
